BestCalls.com said more than 1,000 people signed up Monday in the first day of its free service that provides phone numbers for investor conference calls via the Internet.

Companies usually supply numbers for the calls only to analysts and institutional investors. TheBestCalls site, at https://www.bestcalls.com, lists numbers for the calls on its Web site, and its members can sign up to be notified by e-mail when calls are listed for specific companies.
