CYPRESS

Jeanie McCoy recently was named Community Education Person of the Year by the Assn. of Community and Continuing Education. McCoy, continuing education coordinator for the North Orange County Community College District, was chosen for her success in developing and expanding the Kids’ College Program, which began at Cypress College in 1986.

Kids’ College hosts after-school and Saturday classes for children between 3 and 14 years of age. The program has grown from six classes at Cypress College to more than 120 classes at various sites throughout the county.
