Brendan Fraser, who co-stars in the films “Gods and Monsters” and “Blast From the Past,” and his wife, actress Afton Smith, have moved into a Beverly Hills-area home he bought in 1996 and has just finished renovating.

Since Fraser bought the $700,000 house, he also starred in the surprise hit “George of the Jungle” and won raves for his part in “Still Breathing.” The actor, 30, plays an Indiana Jones-style hero in “The Mummy,” due out in May, and stars in a live-action adaptation of the cartoon “Dudley Do-Right,” to be released in October.

Smith, whom Fraser married in September, appeared in “George of the Jungle” (1997), “Reality Bites” (1994) and “Fried Green Tomatoes” (1991).

Fraser became a first-time home buyer when he purchased the house, which was built in 1966 with three bedrooms in 3,300 square feet. He expanded the house, changed the entrance and heavily landscaped the garden, which has a pool and city views.

Stuart Whitman, who has appeared in more than 75 movies and was nominated for a best actor Oscar in the ‘60s for his role in “The Mark,” has sold a Santa Fe-style home he built on his Montecito ranch for about its $3.7-million asking price.

Whitman, 71, co-starred in the USA Network movie “Wounded Heart” (1995) and starred in the ‘60s series “Cimarron Strip,” released in 1996 on home video. The actor recently made several guest appearances on “Walker, Texas Ranger.”

He built the nearly 7,000-square-foot house on about three acres of his ranch. That leaves Whitman with about 13 acres. “I did have an avocado orchard but just built a tennis court there and play a lot of tennis now,” he said.

Patricia Baehr Griffin of Pitts & Bachmann, Realtors represented Whitman. John McGowan and Pamela Palmer of the same firm were the selling agents.

Sharon Wyatt, who was nominated for an Emmy while playing Tiffany on “General Hospital” for 11 years, has sold her Calabasas Park home for nearly its $600,000 asking price and is moving to a Sherman Oaks house that she has owned for 18 years.

Wyatt bought the Calabasas home as a retreat but then lived there most of the time. Now, she said, “it’s ridiculous to keep two houses going, and Sherman Oaks is closer to auditions.”

She sold her three-bedroom, 2,600-square-foot Calabasas home to a doctor. She also owns a home near Nashville, Tenn.

In January, a padded Wyatt, who left “General Hospital” in 1995, played an overweight character on “Just Shoot Me!” In the upcoming movie “Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human,” starring David Hyde-Pierce, she plays Mackenzie Astin’s mother.

Karyn Foley of the west Valley office of Coldwell Banker-Jon Douglas Co. represented Wyatt.
