Alliance Imaging Posts Smaller 4th-Quarter Loss

Alliance Imaging Inc., Anaheim provider of mobile magnetic resonance imaging services, reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $29,000, or 1 cent a share, compared with a net loss of $12.1 million, or $1.20 a share, for the 1997 fourth quarter. The results a year ago included $16.4 million in charges related to a merger. Revenue increased to $60.7 million from $24.2 million.

For the year, the company earned $412,000, or 10 cents a share, compared with a loss of $2.5 million, or 24 cents a share, for 1997. Revenue more than doubled to $199.4 million from $86.5 million.
