ANAHEIM
A coalition of Vietnamese youth organizations and Latino community leaders presented a check for $47,615 to the American Red Cross on Wednesday for victims of Hurricane Mitch in Central America. The funds came from a walk-a-thon organized by the groups two months ago that raised $106,000. The other half of the money, after expenses are deducted, will be sent to help hurricane victims in Vietnam.
