RealSelect Appoints President and CEO

RealSelect Inc. in Thousand Oaks, an online real estate information service, has appointed Mike Buckman president and chief operating officer.

Buckman is replacing Richard Janssen, who will remain on the board of directors.

“Mike Buckman’s experience at Worldspan in managing a fast-growing technology-based service company will help RealSelect to achieve our goal of providing world-class technology, customer service and operations,” said Stuart Wolff, RealSelect chairman and CEO.

Buckman was chief executive officer of Worldspan, a processor of airline boardings and Internet airline bookings.

“The unique opportunity to help grow RealSelect’s new and exciting business was impossible for me to turn down,” Buckman said. “I was particularly impressed by RealSelect’s business model, which reinforces and strengthens the role of the real estate professional in the real estate transaction.”

Janssen co-founded RealSelect with Wolff and helped create realtor.com, the official Internet site of the National Assn. of Realtors.
