Associated Press
BRADENTON, Fla. —
A teenager was charged with murder Tuesday in the death of a University of Alabama professor killed by a 30-pound rock tossed off an Interstate 75 overpass near Tampa.
Florida Highway Patrol officers arrested Juan G. Cardenas, 18, after receiving a tip from someone who overheard him talking about the Sunday death of Julie Catherine Laible, who was killed when the rock smashed through the windshield of her Honda Civic.
Authorities were looking for three other suspects.
