School Board Seeks Applicants, Questions
The Hueneme School District is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on its governing board.
The new board member will replace Marla Petal who resigned last month to move overseas with her family.
Applications can be picked up at any district school or the district office, 205 N. Ventura Road, Port Hueneme. They are due by noon May 10.
Applicants must be registered voters and live within the Hueneme School District boundaries.
The public is encouraged to submit questions for the interview of board candidates. Questions are due by noon May 13. They should be submitted to Board President Darlene Bruno at the district office.
Candidates will be interviewed and selected May 17. The new board member will be sworn in May 24.
