Fullerton’s Document Control Solutions Sold

Document Control Solutions, a Fullerton company that develops and markets software for labeling systems, has been acquired by Smead Manufacturing Co. of Hastings, Minn.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Document Control, founded in 1976, has 35 employees and sales of about $8 million a year.

Privately owned Smead, which was founded in 1906, has 3,000 employees in 10 manufacturing and distribution facilities in North America and Europe. The company makes file folders, document management software, labeling systems and other paperwork control products.

Smead officials said the company intends to maintain Document Control Solutions’ Fullerton operations and employees.
