Fullerton Won’t Appeal NCAA Ruling

Cal State Fullerton will not appeal the four-year probation and other penalties handed down by the NCAA last week against the men’s basketball program, according to Judith Anderson, university executive vice president.

“We met, discussed the report and decided that, at this point, it’s more important to focus on the future than the past,” Anderson said. “We’ve spent a lot of time on this, and we want to move forward.”

Under terms of the probation, Fullerton is banned from giving scholarships to community college basketball players for three years and scholarships in the program will be reduced from 13 to 11 for each of the next two years.
