Fire Inspections
Your article of May 6 stated that fire inspector Joe Flores would make between 3,000 to 5,000 inspections this month. At $13 per inspection that’s $39,000 to $65,000 per month. I thought the fee was to recoup the expense of the inspection. Do fire inspectors make that much? Working 40 hours a week that’s about two to three minutes per inspection, not including travel time. When does the inspector have time to educate the homeowner or make a real inspection?
