Man Dies From Stab to Thigh
A man stabbed in the leg on an Anaheim street died Sunday afternoon at UCI Medical Center in Orange, authorities said.
Anaheim police do not know the identity of the man--a Latino thought to be in his 40s--who received a fatal wound to his thigh around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, said Lt. Kahle Switzer.
Someone drove the man to Anaheim Memorial Medical Center after the stabbing, which occurred in the 1300 block of West Glen Avenue, Switzer said. The man was revived at the hospital and later transferred to UCI Medical Center.
A police officer happened to be at Anaheim Memorial when the man was dropped off for treatment, Switzer said. Anaheim officers searched the stabbing site but could not find a weapon.
“We located where he was stabbed,” Switzer said.
