The City Council on Tuesday is scheduled to vote on an ordinance that would restrict the feeding of wild birds. The ordinance would prohibit residents from feeding birds in either large enough numbers or frequencies that would create excessive droppings, a diversion of migratory patterns, unusual or excessive noise and unsanitary conditions. The city developed the ordinance after complaints from residents about a homeowner on Beardsley Circle who was feeding flocks of wild ducks. The owner stopped feeding the birds months ago. The council meets at 7:30 p.m. at 17855 Santiago Blvd.
