Shuttle Returns to Pad

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. —
Space shuttle Discovery was returned to the launch pad Thursday after repairs to its hail-damaged fuel tank.
Discovery is scheduled to blast off Thursday morning with 1 1/2 tons of gear for the new international space station.
Seven astronauts from three countries are assigned to the 10-day mission, the first of the year for NASA’s shuttle program.
