City officials will hold a public hearing Tuesday to consider a $6.2-million proposal to build a Metrolink train station on the west side of Dale Street at Malvern Avenue. The city is negotiating with the county to buy the property for the 3 1/2-acre station. The site would include concrete platforms on both sides of the train track, canopies for passengers to stand under, ticket machines and a 200-space parking lot with room to expand to 300 spaces. Officials said they have $4.6 million so far from state, federal, county and city sources for the project.
