Xircom Inc. Appoints Chief Information Officer

Xircom Inc. in Thousand Oaks has hired Patrick Piccininno as vice president and chief information officer.

In the newly created position, Piccininno will be responsible for expanding Xircom’s E-business initiatives, improving information management systems and integrating new technologies worldwide.

Before joining Xircom, Piccininno served as senior practice director in the management and applications consulting group of Oracle Corp. Prior to that he was chief information officer for Telex Communications, where he was responsible for the definition and implementation of worldwide information technology.

Xircom manufactures mobile communications products to connect portable computer users to corporate networks, the Internet and other online resources. The company’s products are sold and supported in more than 100 countries.
