The Times Orange County publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:

BREA

* Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 400 block at 11:16 a.m. Saturday.

* Harvest Lane: A petty theft was reported in the 1700 block at 9:02 a.m. Saturday.

* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported in the 100 block at 7:36 p.m. Saturday.

* Birch Street: Report of vandalism in the 700 block at 12:32 a.m. Friday.

COSTA MESA

* Adams Avenue: Several items of clothing and cash totaling $1,957 were stolen from a business in the 1600 block between 12:45 and 2:30 p.m. May 17.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Bushard Street: Police took a juvenile into custody on suspicion of stealing a bench from in front of a school in the 17900 block at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday. Police spotted the juvenile dragging the 20-foot bench down the street on his skateboard.

* Los Gatos Street at Edinger Avenue: A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamines during a routine traffic stop at 3:10 a.m. Monday.

* Magnolia Street: A purse was stolen from a coat rack at Izzy’s Bagels in the 17000 block at 5:06 p.m. Friday.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Gothard Street: Report of an auto theft in the 17200 block at 1:59 p.m. Saturday. A customer test-drove a Land Cruiser at American Motorsports and didn’t return it.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Nyes Place: Report of three dogs barking for more than two hours at a residence in the 700 block at 8:24 p.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Via Lomas: A 1991 Honda Civic was stolen from a parking stall in the 25700 block sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Carpinteria Court: A woman reported that someone entered her residence through the unlocked front door while she was home between 6 and 7 a.m. Friday. The thief stole $7,500 in cash and an undetermined amount of jewelry.

* Street of the Golden Lantern: Report of a vehicle covered in red paint from a can used by property maintenance in the 3000 block at 4:50 p.m. Friday. The property manager offered to pay for the cleanup.

* Amarante: A mobile basketball backboard was reported missing from the front of a house in the 100 block at 3:15 p.m. Thursday. The owner believes it may have been taken by a truck collecting charity donations from other homes on the street.

* Minori: Report of graffiti painted on a garage door in the 100 block at 9:15 a.m. Thursday.

LAKE FOREST

* McWhorter Way: Deputies responded to a burglary alarm in the 23900 block at 2 a.m. Friday. The front glass window of a tire business had been shattered and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

* Elrond Lane at Fortune Drive: Deputies responded to a hit-and-run accident at 11:40 p.m. Thursday. A suspect had been detained by an off-duty Long Beach police officer. Deputies said the suspect appeared to be drunk, and after failing a sobriety test he was arrested on suspicion of committing a hit-and-run and driving under the influence.

LA PALMA

* Walker Street: A 29-year-old Pacoima man wanted on an outstanding warrant turned himself in to the Police Department at 10:22 p.m. Sunday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Alicia Parkway at Trabuco Road: A man hitchhiking in the middle of the street was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and cited for standing in traffic lanes at 1:10 a.m. Saturday. He was released to his father.

* Via Roma: A set of golf clubs was reported stolen from a garage in the 27000 block at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Corona del Mar Freeway at Jamboree Road: Newport Beach police chased a stolen motorcycle on freeways and streets to Fountain Valley early Tuesday. The motorcycle was stolen from a residence in Laguna Beach.

* Bayside Drive: A cellular phone worth $130 was stolen from a car in the 1800 block sometime Saturday evening.

* Newport Center Drive: A cellular phone worth $300 was stolen from a car in the 300 block sometime Saturday evening.

ORANGE

* West La Veta Avenue: An elderly man was stabbed when he tried to stop two teenagers from picking on his 5-year-old grandson; reported in the 1900 block at 10:08 p.m. Monday. The man was stabbed once below the armpit. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange; his wounds are not considered life-threatening. A suspect was arrested at the scene and booked on suspicion of attempted murder.

PLACENTIA

* Jefferson Street: A burglary was reported in the 300 block at 12:50 p.m. Sunday.

* Chinook Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 200 block at 3:09 p.m. Sunday.

* Stardust Drive: A grand theft was reported in the 300 block at 6:09 a.m. Friday.

SEAL BEACH

* Pacific Coast Highway: Two people called police to report a suspicious man selling skateboards out of his motor home in a parking lot at 4:08 p.m. Sunday. The callers were concerned that the man was trying to lure kids into his motor home to look at the skateboards. Police interviewed the man and released him.

TUSTIN

* Williams Street: Report of a drawing of a naked woman on the sidewalk at an elementary school in the 15500 block at 12:03 a.m. Monday.

* Medallion Avenue: A female apartment resident brandished a small knife and threatened to cut a male resident’s neck in the 17000 block at 12:09 a.m. Monday.

WESTMINSTER

* Westminster Boulevard: Report of a robbery in the 6600 block at 8:29 a.m. Monday. As a loan office employee was opening a safe, a gunman walked in, hit the employee in the head, tied him up in the bathroom and made off with about $3,000 in cash.

* Beach Boulevard: A 25-year-old Garden Grove woman was arrested for petty theft at a store in the 13300 block at 4:37 p.m. Sunday.

YORBA LINDA

* Via del Venado: A petty theft was reported in the 21000 block at 3:57 p.m. Friday.

* Mission Hills Lane: A petty theft was reported in the 22000 block at 2:47 p.m. Friday.

* Charter Oak Drive: A grand theft was reported in the 20000 block at 3:52 p.m. Thursday.

OTHER COMMUNITIES

ALISO VIEJO

* Argonaut: Report of an attempted burglary in the 100 block at 7:45 a.m. Monday. Someone apparently entered a warehouse through an electrical room but was scared off by the alarm. No property was taken.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Tuesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Dana Point, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Irvine, Laguna Woods, La Habra, Los Alamitos, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Stanton and Villa Park.
