The Pet Responsibility Committee Inc. is sponsoring a program at the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter to cut the cost of neutering and spaying pets. Pet owners need pay only 25% of the shelter’s costs for the operations: $9 to spay a cat, $6 to neuter one; and from $10 to $22.50 to spay a dog, $9 to $18.75 to neuter one, depending on its size. The program covers one pet per family, and animals must be at least 6 months old. The cost is higher for animals in heat or pregnant. Information: (949) 497-3552.
