The perplexing issues of dual votes and dual-nation citizenship are raised by Michael Warder’s May 25 commentary. Worldwide, more and more individuals maintain dual-nation residence and pay taxes to both nations. A common-sense solution that honors the principle of one vote per person would be to permit each person with residence in and taxes paid to two countries a half-vote in each country, if both governments agree to shared allegiance.
