The city’s Planning Commission will update its files on which local restaurants and nightclubs offer outdoor seating, live music or dancing, said the community development director.

Bob Lenard said the commission would probably send letters to local restaurants asking them to indicate whether they have begun offering these services since the city first issued their permits.

The commission decided at its Tuesday meeting to reexamine the restaurants’ entertainment offerings after discussing how to make its criteria for entertainment more concrete, Lenard said.
