THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Monday:

BREA

* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported in the 500 block at 6:19 p.m. Sunday.

* North Malibu Canyon Way: Malicious mischief was reported in the 900 block at 9:29 a.m. Sunday.

* South Flower Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 200 block at 12:34 a.m. Sunday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* San Paco Avenue: The words “Irish USA” were spray-painted on the yard and sidewalk in front of a home in the 10800 block. Reported at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* McIntyre Street: A commercial burglary was reported in the 2500 block. The incident was believed to have occurred Wednesday night.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Rancho Cristiano: A 9-year-old boy was walking home from school when a vehicle pulled up to the curb and the driver told him to get in the car at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday. The boy ran screaming to a nearby house. The driver is described as a male, about 40 years old, with brown hair and a mustache. The vehicle is described as a reddish-orange two-door.

LAGUNA WOODS

* El Toro Road and Paseo de Valencia: A drunk driving arrest was made at 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

PLACENTIA

* Chapman Avenue at Kraemer: A vehicle was reported stolen at 12:51 p.m. Sunday.

* West Valencia Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 1600 block at 4:12 p.m. Saturday.

* Placentia Avenue: A cellular phone was reported stolen at 12:36 p.m. Friday.

TUSTIN

* Dow Avenue: A burglar alarm was triggered in the 3000 block at 10:38 p.m. Thursday.

* El Camino Real: A suspicious person was reported in the 2900 block at 1:08 p.m. Thursday.

* Newport Avenue and Holt Avenue: A car accident, with unknown injuries, occurred at 11:25 a.m. Thursday.

YORBA LINDA

* Aragon Way: A petty theft was reported in the

25000 block at 12:39 p.m. Sunday.

* Newport Lane: A petty theft was reported in the 23000 block at 8:56 a.m. Sunday.

* Orchard Drive: An arson was reported in the 18000 block at 1:35 a.m. Sunday.

* Lake Park Way: A petty theft was reported in the 16000 block at 11:13 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Monday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, La Habra, Lake Forest, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Villa Park and Westminster.
