Sport Chalet Quarterly Net Income Up to $1.1 Million

Sport Chalet, La Canada, reported net income for its second quarter ended Sept. 30 of $1.1 million, up from $949,000 for the same period of 1998. Sales increased to $41.7 million from $36.2 million.

Sport Chalet operates specialty sporting goods stores featuring merchandise and services such as scuba training and certification programs, bicycle repair and sports charters.
