DANA POINT
The City Council is seeking to expand the city’s policy for distributing funds for fine and performing arts to include any organization or event that benefits the community.
The council had set aside $15,000 from the city’s budget to benefit the arts, but Councilwoman Ingrid McGuire also raised the possibility of expanding the program to help local service organizations and fund-raising events.
The council will formalize the expanded policy at a future council meeting.
