LAGUNA WOODS
The Planning Advisory Committee will discuss what it should do, if anything, about Laguna Hills’ plans to annex a part of neighboring unincorporated Aliso Viejo.
If Laguna Hills succeeds in annexing the land, one residential portion--north of Laguna Hills Drive and East of Moulton Parkway--would create an odd jag in its border with Laguna Woods, said City Manager Leslie Keane.
“There would really be no clean cut,” said Keane. “But we wouldn’t mind taking it ourselves.”
Keane said it’s too early to tell exactly what Laguna Hills will choose to do with the land. But she said she wants to make sure the committee, which met for the first time last month, remains well-informed.
The city’s Planning Advisory Committee meets at 9 a.m. today at the Laguna Woods City Offices, 24310 Moulton Parkway, Suite K.
