Eldorado Bancshares’ Earnings Decline
Eldorado Bancshares Inc., Laguna Hills operator of Eldorado Bank and Antelope Valley Bank, said net income for the third quarter totaled $1.1 million, or 8 cents a share, down 56% from $2.5 million, or 18 cents a share, a year ago. The bank holding company attributed the earnings decline to poor results in its mortgage division, which reported a substantial reduction in the volume of mortgage loans. Total assets were $1.35 billion.
