After consecutive road victories, three games in three days caught up with the Ice Dogs, who were defeated Sunday by the Cincinnati Cyclones, 6-3, in an International Hockey League game.

Scott Thomas scored two goals for Long Beach, but the Ice Dogs could not overpower Gilbert Dionne and the Cyclones. Dionne scored his sixth goal and assisted on another to lead the Cyclones, who opened a 5-2 lead in the third period.

Mark Fitzpatrick stopped 29 of 32 Ice Dog shots.
