SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
The Orange County Transportation Authority on Tuesday approved $1.1 million for preservation and restoration efforts at Mission San Juan Capistrano.
The mission was among 16 applicants that received a total of $7.27 million in Transportation Enhancement Activities grants.
The money will be used for a $7-million project to stabilize the crumbling dome and walls of the mission’s church.
