DANA POINT
Some members of the Dana Point Harbor Assn. are wondering if the annual Turkey Trot 5K and 10K races are getting too big for the city to handle.
Race coordinators say about 5,600 people turned out last year for the Thanksgiving Day event, and that the number is expected to increase by about 500 this year.
Despite concerns from residents who say they are blocked from driving to or from their homes until the race is over, authorities told them at a recent association meeting that the 23rd annual event, which benefits the Home Society of California, will go on as scheduled this year.
