Light Rain Expected Early Today, With Clear Afternoon Forecast
A storm from the Gulf of Alaska was expected to bring light rain to Ventura County late Friday and early today, according to the National Weather Service.
A quarter to half an inch of rain was forecast for coastal and inland cities and up to an inch in the mountains, meteorologist Bill Hoffer said.
“It’s coming down from the northwest and we’re going to get what we always get, the tail end of it,” Hoffer said Friday night.
The showers should break up by early today, making way for a clear afternoon and evening, Hoffer said.
High temperatures in the county today are expected to reach into the middle to high 60s with lows in the upper 40s.
Patchy morning fog is expected Sunday followed by a clear afternoon.
An advisory warning of above-normal surf will be in effect through today. West- and northwest-facing beaches could receive 4- to 8-foot breakers.
