Ojai Nordhoff 44, Whittier Christian 21--John Hill’s 76-yard touchdown pass to Jon Hall three plays into the third quarter triggered a 22-point outburst for host Nordhoff.

Nordhoff (9-2) trailed, 15-7, late in the second quarter but tied the score on Hill’s 67-yard touchdown pass to Scott Drew and a two-point conversion. Then Hill’s third-quarter touchdown pass to Hall gave Nordhoff its first lead.

Isaac Hatch of Nordhoff recovered a fumble by running back David Jones at the Whittier Christian 15-yard line later in the quarter. Bret Ferrante scored on a two-yard run to give the Rangers a 30-15 lead two plays later.
