Business Team

I was shocked to read your Nov. 15 article stating that the mayor’s business team has exaggerated its impact on creating jobs in Los Angeles. As one of the developers, along with Voit Development Co., of the former General Motors assembly plant in Van Nuys, I can attest that the business team was invaluable in enabling that project to come to fruition. Without the business team’s help, the former GM plant could still very well be a vacant 73-acre parcel.

As for the assertion that the team does not create jobs, one needs only to drive by the 8000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard to see the jobs this project has created.
