*LOYOLA MARYMOUNT (1-0) at PACIFIC (0-1), 7:30, KXLU-FM (88.9)--The Lions play their first road game and look to go 2-0 for the first time since 1995-96, their last winning season. In Saturday’s opener against Cal Baptist, the Lions got a career-high 26 points from guard Rupert McClendon, including a tie-breaking three-point play with 1:21 to play, and held on for a 78-74 victory. The Tigers open their home schedule after a a 73-65 loss at Santa Clara on Saturday. Pacific led, at halftime, 33-29, but poor shooting (39%) and an inability to rebound (the Broncos outrebounded them, 43-29) were too much for the Tigers to overcome.
