A New ZIP for ‘90210’ Actress
Tori Spelling, who is in her 10th season playing Donna in the prime-time soap “Beverly Hills, 90210,” has become a first-time buyer with her purchase of a Westside home for about its $2.9-million asking price.
Spelling, 26, made her first TV appearance at age 5 in the ABC series “Vega$,” produced by her father, prolific TV producer Aaron Spelling.
Starting with NBC’s “A Friend to Die For” (1994), the actress has starred in such TV movies as “Co-ed Call Girl” (1996) on CBS. She played an aspiring actress in the indie film “trick,” a surprise hit at the Sundance Festival this year, and made a tongue-in-cheek appearance as herself in the movie “Scream 2” (1997).
Spelling bought a gated home with three bedrooms, a maid’s room, guest quarters and a pool. Built in the ‘20s, the traditional-style house, with hardwood floors, was recently remodeled.

Celebrity biographer Donald Spoto, who has written more than a dozen books on such stars as Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor, has put his Wilshire Corridor condo on the market at $995,000.
Spoto, 58, has signed a contract to do a book on Agatha Christie, and so he is moving to London for three years. His biography on Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is due out in January. The former professor of religion and humanities also wrote “The Hidden Jesus” (St. Martin’s Griffin, $14.95), published earlier this year.
Spoto has owned his condo for a couple of years but moved out for six months while gutting and refurbishing it. The unit has two bedrooms, a den, built-in bookshelves, wine storage and a master suite with a balcony. The 16th-floor condo has mountain-to-ocean views and is in a building with a concierge, pool and spa.

Diane Dimond, a former reporter with “Hard Copy” (1992-’97) and “Extra” (1997-’98) who went on to co-anchor “Upfront Tonight” with Geraldo Rivera on CNBC in New York, and her husband, Michael Schoen, who does voice-overs, have listed their Los Feliz home at $975,000.
Dimond, 47, and Schoen, 52, leased out their Los Feliz home for a year while deciding whether or not to stay in New York. She just re-signed as co-anchor.
The couple’s Los Feliz home, which they’ve owned since 1994, has three bedrooms plus a maid’s room or office in about 3,000 square feet. The home also has a basement gym, a family room with a fireplace, and a patio with a hot tub.
