Clinton in Kosovo

Share

* Re “Clinton Visits Kosovo, Pleads for Tolerance,” Nov. 24: President Clinton visited the Serbian province of Kosovo, like a murderer returning to the scene of the crime. He went back to witness the mass destruction and carnage that killed more than 20,000 Serbian civilians in just 78 days. He went back as if to admire the devastation and illegal NATO aggression that wasted every manufacturing industry, including hospitals and academic institutions.

Clinton has gained nothing by the bombing; just more instability and ethnic hatred. There is no war in Yugoslavia, but there is definitely no peace. Since the withdrawal of the Serbian military in Kosovo, the Albanian terrorists have seen this as a green light to ethnically cleanse what’s left of the Serbian population. Clinton practically begged the Albanians to stop the killing and burning of houses that belonged to Serbian families. After Clinton gave his speech to the troops, he celebrated an early Thanksgiving dinner. In Kosovo, there is nothing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving weekend.

* With regard to President Clinton’s Thanksgiving photo-op on the front page, Nov. 24: Clinton’s face is an unfortunate blemish in an otherwise fabulous photo of the beaming faces of brave soldiers in Kosovo. Happy Thanksgiving to those true patriots of our United States!
