Share

* The line: Green Bay by 6.

* Injuries: Packers--OUT: G Joe Andruzzi (knee-injured reserve); T Ross Verba (knee). QUESTIONABLE: P Louie Aguiar (groin); LB George Koonce (shoulder) PROBABLE: DE Vaughn Booker (chest); QB Brett Favre (hand); WR Antonio Freeman (groin); LB Bernardo Harris (knee). 49ers--OUT: LB Joe Wesley (knee); QB Steve Young (concussion). QUESTIONABLE: S Lance Schulters (ankle). PROBABLE: S Tim McDonald (hip).

* Key elements: Packer quarterback Brett Favre is 5-1 vs. 49ers and has 1,566 yards passing and 10 touchdowns against them. But 49ers had five interceptions against Favre in ’98 games.

* Story line: The 49ers have produced one touchdown on offense in the last four games and have failed to score in double digits for three consecutive weeks for the first time in franchise history. They have been outscored, 74-19, in the last three games. The 49ers managed four field goals and Fred Beasley’s one-yard touchdown run against St. Louis last week, ending a 13-quarter scoring drought by the offense. “It’s strange,” said Jerry Rice, who has struggled with the rest of the 49er offense. “I never dreamed we would be held to one touchdown in a month ever.”
