The Police Department is seeking recruits for various levels of law enforcement. Recruitments are underway for reserve police officer level-two positions, and lateral entry police officers--individuals already employed with a California police department.

This recruitment is also open to those who graduated within the past year from a basic academy. Reservists are paid $11 to $16 per hour and typically work 20 to 80 hours a month in bureaus such as patrol, gang suppression, bicycle patrol and investigations.
