The date has been set for the restoration of Quiet Oak Creek off Serrano Road. The Serrano Creek Conservancy hopes to halt erosion and pollution in Quiet Oak Creek by adding plants and trees and reshaping banks on Nov. 30. The Conservancy hopes to demonstrate how these methods can be used to repair the entire Serrano Creek.
Erosion during the 1997 storm season caused more than $1.5 million in damage along Serrano Creek, city reports said.
The conservancy is a coalition of homeowners and business along the 4.4-mile waterway.
