TUSTIN
Orange County Supervisor Todd Spitzer unveiled four new stop signs on Arroyo Avenue and South East Skyline Drive on Thursday morning in front of dozens of neighbors who have been fighting to install the signs at the intersection for more than two years.
Some neighbors felt the intersection was dangerous because of increased traffic, excessive speeding and failure to see clearly unless drivers drove into the crosswalk.
Although the Orange County Traffic Committee denied the placement of the signs at the intersection for the third time in July, Spitzer overturned the recommendation.
