What’s It All About? A Vegas Party
About.com, the site where 650 volunteer guides help users find their way around the Internet, is hosting a party this weekend at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas so that its users can meet their guides in person. An open invitation to the Red Ball went up on the About.com site (https://www.about.com) last month, and the company said it got 500 positive RSVPs in the first two hours. The party will feature a demonstration of the latest interactive video games, a primer on MP3 technology and a quiz show designed to enhance Web searching skills.
