The Brea Olinda School Board Facilities Committee met Monday to discuss adding floodlights to Brea Olinda High’s athletic fields. Board members were concerned the lighted fields would bring more wear and tear to the school’s fields, because community members would use them at night.
The additional use would make the fields cost more to maintain, they said.
School Board President Kenneth Kegel said the district hopes to get the city to shoulder some of the maintenance costs.
