LAKE FOREST
Parents who park on a secluded residential street while taking their children to and from a nearby elementary school aren’t breaking any laws, Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
Residents on Wandering Lane have complained for years that parents block traffic and damage property when they park on the street. A trail leads from Wandering Lane to the back entrance of La Madera Elementary School.
The Lake II Homeowners Assn. could enforce its own parking rules on the street by towing cars or fining association residents who stop there, said Lt. Mike James of the Lake Forest sheriff’s substation.
