An Orange County Superior Court judge has ruled that the Bixby residential/commercial development project can proceed.
Despite Judge William F. McDonald’s decision Friday, the development was halted when Citizens Against Excessive Traffic collected 2,817 signatures from more than 10% of the city’s registered voters against the commercial part of the 218-acre project. Their efforts forced the issue to go before the voters in March.
The city was sued by the city of Los Alamitos and the Rossmoor Homeowners Assn. over the commercial and residential project.
