SANTA ANA
The City Council this week decided to request $120,000 from the state Department of Parks and Recreation to create a bike trail at Santiago Park. The trail would be on the west side of the park between Main and Valencia streets.
The funds come from the federal Transportational Equity Act for the 21st Century. The city received a similar grant last year for improvements to the Pacific Electric and Flower Street bike trails.
