Santa Ana Valley (3-1) vs. Estancia (3-1)
7 TONIGHT ORANGE COAST COLLEGE
Both programs are on the upswing. After winning its first three games, Estancia was stunned last week by Anaheim, a team that hadn’t won a game since 1996. The Eagle defense had given up only 25 points before Anaheim scored 21, thanks in part to four Estancia turnovers. Santa Ana Valley Coach Eddie Steward suspects that was a fluke. He is preparing his defense for the Eagles’ wing-T offense, led by Marshall Hendricks, who has rushed for 571 yards in four games. Valley’s defensive backfield will be boosted by the return of Eliu Fatu, who, after injuring his ankle in nonleague play, is back at full strength.
