A Sundae Worth Every Sinfully Wonderful Bite
- Share via
The love affair with ice cream starts in childhood. Did your first drippy chocolate cone come ironically after a visit to the dentist? Or did you check out of church and devour a banana split at the soda fountain instead?
Get that wonderful guilty feeling again with a hot fudge sundae worth every bite of sin. At Ghirardelli Chocolate Shop and Soda Fountain in South Coast Plaza, they start with generous scoops of Dreyer’s ice cream piled into a frosted schooner. The cool stuff is then drenched with a mudslide of hot fudge sauce made from Ghirardelli chocolate bars, and crowned with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry.
The menu says, “It’s as thick as any San Francisco fog”--so you’re guaranteed to get completely lost in it.
