* Update--The Galaxy has lost three of its last four. The Wizards have lost six in a row and have the second-worst record in the league behind the New York/New Jersey MetroStars, who finished 7-25. With backup goalkeeper Matt Reis sidelined for the rest of the season after groin surgery, the Galaxy acquired Bill May from the Seattle Sounders of the A-League. May, 25, a 6-foot-3 University of Washington graduate from Berkeley, said he was “a bit surprised” to be called up. “I was thinking my season was pretty well over and then I went into the end-of-the-year meeting with the Sounders and they said L.A. had called,” May said. To make roster room for May, the Galaxy released goalkeeper Mike Littman of the Orange County Zodiac.
