Re “Elderly Folk Dancers Step Back in Time,” Oct. 5: Doesn’t it seem just a little bit contradictory that the branch of our government, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, whose job it is to defend our immigration policies and borders, is spending our tax dollars to sponsor Hispanic Heritage Month events? But the $64,000 question is, do they also sponsor other ethnic celebrations? What about the rest of us? Irish, English, German, Iranian, Persian, African . . . I think you get my point!
