Wolves Simply Too Strong
The Chicago Wolves wasted no time overpowering the Long Beach Ice Dogs, scoring four first-period goals en route to a 5-2 victory Sunday night before 9,112 at Long Beach.
It was the third game in as many nights for the Ice Dogs (1-3), who lost to Utah at Salt Lake City on Saturday.
Against the Wolves (3-1), the Ice Dogs didn’t get on the scoreboard until 5:47 into the third period, when Scott Thomas scored on a power play to make it 4-1. Len Barrie also scored for Long Beach as time ran out.
