Ingram President Resigns

Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest computer distributor, said President and Worldwide Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey Rodek has resigned to become chairman and chief executive of Hyperion Solutions Corp. Rodek has been a board member of Hyperion, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based software maker, since January 1998. Rodek joined Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro in January 1995 as president and chief operating officer. Hyperion makes software to analyze corporate data, enabling executives to make better business decisions. Ingram shares slipped 6 cents to close at $13.13 on the New York Stock Exchange. Hyperion rose 6 cents to $19.13 on Nasdaq.
