The cancellation of the daytime television soap “Sunset Beach” means that the city’s beach will no longer be used as a backdrop. But there’s still time to see some filming.
The production crew will shoot the last two days of the show at the beach in November, said Steve Cushmann, chief of the lifeguards.
Cast and crew have become regulars on Main Street during the four years of filming at the pier.
“A lot of people are a little bummed out they’re leaving,” Cushmann said.
